2003 Voile Hardwire 3-Pin
Voile binding.
The Hardwire system on a 3-pin toe: threaded steel rods and spring cartridges instead of braided cable, and the whole Hardwire heel assembly detaches from the toe piece for climbing. Aluminium toe box on a 20 mm nylon riser, an active binding with dual-height climbing elevators. The Hardwire rod-and-cartridge design arrived in 2002 per Voile and the 3-Pin version was on its April 2003 binding page.
