AlpenFlow binding.
The AlpenFlow 89 is a "true hybrid" ski binding built to ski like an alpine binding and tour like a touring one. Its alpine-style heel piece releases independently in the lateral and vertical directions (Z 5-13) and keeps forward pressure on the boot as the ski flexes, adjustable over 30 mm of boot-sole length. The LockTurn toe piece rotates freely in ski mode and locks the boot in so it only releases in a fall, and the toe brake guides the boot in for the step-in and then stows away so it never drops on the way up. It comes in 12 colours (and a made-to-order version with custom colours and an engraved heel piece) and four brake widths. Made in California by a small team founded by Cobey with engineers Steven and Jesse, after four years of design and testing. Listed from November 2024.
