On Poor Farm Hill in Wolfeboro, where trails were first cut in 1936, Abenaki is a town-owned ski area that bills itself as the oldest small ski area in America. A fast rope tow serves the hill, with night skiing, snowmaking, glades, a terrain park and a wood-stove lodge for warming up.
