Above Blowing Rock in North Carolina’s High Country, Appalachian Ski Mtn opened in 1962 as Blowing Rock Ski Lodge and took its current name in 1968. It is home to the French-Swiss Ski College, keeps the lights on for late Midnight Blast sessions and adds ice skating, making it a natural first stop for Southeastern skiers.
