In the upper Val Tanaro above Garessio, on the Ligurian side of the Cuneo Alps, Garessio 2000 is a small area working its way back after more than a decade of closure. A chairlift and a few drag lifts serve its slopes, and regional funding has gone into restoring the lifts and adding snowmaking.
