Hard'Ack Ski Area

Owned by the city of St. Albans in northwest Vermont, Hard’Ack is a free community hill with a rope tow, where skiing dates back to at least the mid-1960s. Generations of volunteers built up the recreation area, which also hosts junior ski races, and donations help keep the tow turning.
