Masik Ryong (Masik Pass)
Kangwŏn, North Korea · 12.6 km of runs, 6 lifts, top 1358 m
Built as a showcase project on Taehwa Peak near Wonsan, Masikryong is North Korea’s best-known ski resort, completed around 2014 with a hotel, ice rink and pool alongside the slopes. Foreign skiers can only visit on organised tours, which makes a trip here as much a curiosity as a ski holiday, with gentle terrain and groomed runs for every level.
