Maverick Mountain Ski Area

Maverick Mountain is a small community ski area in the Grasshopper Valley near Polaris, Montana, off the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway and a long drive from Dillon. Locals opened it in 1946 with a rope tow. Today its chairlift serves long, uncrowded intermediate and advanced runs with a true small-town Montana feel.
