Mavrovo’s ski centre, named after Zare Lazarevski, spreads across Bistra mountain inside Mavrovo National Park, above the lake of the same name in western North Macedonia. A long lineup of drags and a few chairlifts serve a surprisingly steep mix of terrain, with plenty of red and black runs for confident skiers.
