Mizuho Highland lies in Ohnan, Shimane, within reach of both Hiroshima and the Shimane coast, and is one of western Japan’s largest ski areas. A gondola and chairlifts serve the Highland Side and the steeper Valley Side with its tree runs, and the resort reopened under new management in 2021 after its former operator’s bankruptcy.
