In the Wapiti River valley south of Grande Prairie, Nitehawk is run by the volunteer Grande Prairie Ski Club, founded in 1960. A strong race team, freestyle and snowboard clubs and instructor courses anchor the winter alongside a tube zone, and summer operations keep the park busy year-round.
