On the edge of Ala Archa National Park, a short drive from Bishkek, Polytech is a small ski base said to have been built by an engineer from the city’s Polytechnic institute. Drag lifts serve a mix of runs including the steep Kandahar, and there’s rental gear and a café with mountain views. Expect a no-frills, local experience.
