Porters Ski Area
Canterbury Region, New Zealand · 13 km of runs, 5 lifts, top 1943 m
Off the highway to Arthur’s Pass near Porters Pass, the closest ski field to Christchurch began life as a club field and took its current name in 2007. In 1991 it became the first New Zealand ski area to install snowmaking. Terrain leans hard toward advanced, with steep faces off the upper tows, served by a chairlift and T-bars.
