In Yamanouchi, at the foot of Nagano’s Kita-Shiga highlands, Ryuoo is famed for its ropeway, one of the largest cable cars in the world, which rises to the SORA Terrace, where a sea of clouds often fills the valley below. Its long, varied runs include a good share of advanced terrain, and it’s popular with snowboarders.
