Sleeping Giant Winter Sports Area

Near Yellowstone’s East Gate in the Absaroka Mountains west of Cody, Sleeping Giant has hosted skiing since 1936. It has been closed for several winters, and in 2026 a buyer announced plans for a summer adventure park, saying skiing was no longer economically feasible.
