Tūroa
Manawatu-Wanganui Region, New Zealand · 18.7 km of runs, 7 lifts, top 2316 m
Tūroa sits on the southwestern flank of Mount Ruapehu, an active volcano in Tongariro National Park, above the town of Ohakune. It claims the biggest lift-served vertical in Australasia, with long groomers, wide open snowfields and steeper lines for advanced skiers, and it is now run by Pure Tūroa, separate from Whakapapa on the other side of the mountain.
