Wapiti is Elkford’s volunteer-built ski hill in BC’s Elk Valley, started in the 1970s with help from the local coal mine. A T-bar and night-lit runs serve a mostly easy hill whose Nancy Greene ski club produced racers like 1988 Olympian Kevin Wert, and it still feels like the whole town’s backyard.
