In the high desert near Lakeview, in Oregon’s Lake County, Warner Canyon is an old-fashioned ski hill built and run by local volunteers. A chairlift serves a hill with plenty of steeper pitches alongside friendlier runs, and backcountry trails, a homey lodge and community events help locals through the long, cold winter.
