In the St. Croix River valley north of Taylors Falls, Wild Mountain has been running since 1960 and is known for opening early, often among the first ski areas in the country. Terrain parks, night skiing, race and freestyle programs and Starlight Snow Tubing fill the winter, and a water park takes over in summer.
